IBM Watson & IBM Connections Social Cloud Files
When you review the cognitive services available in the IBM Watson Developer Cloud, you will encounter an abundance of documentation, a demo, and sample code for each service. Oftentimes, this information is more than enough to get you started on your cognitive journey.
What if you are looking for more real world scenarios? I recently created a guide that shows how to integrate IBM Watson services with IBM Connections Social Cloud Files. By using the techniques in this guide, you will learn how to pass the contents of any Connections Cloud file to IBM Watson for analysis. For example, you might want to do on-the-fly language translation, create an audio file, or perform a tone analysis on the contents of the file.
In the following guide, you will learn how to:
- Create a files user interface extension in the Connections Cloud
- Create and manage Watson services in Bluemix using the Cloud Foundry command-line interface
- Create a Node.js application that will perform cognitive services on the file contents and return a result
- Publish the demo application to Bluemix
